Pizza Pilgrim
We had a blast making special lights for Pizza Pilgrims. From pizza bucket wall lights to cheese-shaped hanging lamps, everything was meant to match their fun brand. We bought three big fake parmesan cheeses and cut holes in the bottom. Luckily, they were hollow, so turning them into hanging lights was pretty easy.
The main attraction was a Piaggio Ape, a little Italian three-wheeled van, with big tomato tins stacked on the back. Some looked like they were flying off. Instead of making fake tin lights, we decided to use real ones. So, a whole pallet of tomato tins arrived at our workshop. We taught everyone how to open the tins carefully. Then we washed them and made them into lights. It took a couple of weeks, but we didn't waste any tomatoes. Everyone took home what we could freeze. We drilled holes in the tins and fitted light fittings. To hang them at fun angles, we added wire.
The result? A playful and relevant lighting scheme that perfectly suits Pizza Pilgrims' style. It's amazing what you can do with a bit of creativity and some everyday items!
