Villa Bexhill

A client came back to us after we made lights for their restaurants. They wanted special lights for their cosy beach house in Bexhill that would fit their style and the small spaces. In the dining room, we had to work around a long French Farm table they'd brought in, without blocking the amazing sea view. We came up with a light, pretty design that didn't steal the show. We used see-through glass balls to keep things open and airy. We even made a clever way to hide most of the bulb holder inside.

For the stairs, we needed to light up the space well and look good from both upstairs and outside. We made a tight double spiral of milky glass balls twisting around a black middle bit with brushed brass touches, matching the curve of the stairs below. In the bedroom, we went for something softer. We created an hourglass shape using two fabric lampshades with a brass collar in between. We put two big hanging versions of these by the bed.

Throughout the project, we worked closely with the owners to make sure every light was just right for their lovely seaside home.
